Defining Teams

In this first session we focus on the purpose and need for teams.

Defining Performance Management

We begin the session by exploring the purpose of performance management and why it is needed.

Team Development

Teams don't just happen, they need to be created and this session focuses on team development.

Creating the ABC of Performance

A simple performance management system is created to help identify how individuals should be managed in the team.

Team Health

Healthy teams are paramount, the completion of the pre-work will provide a barometer of team health.

Managing High & Low Performers

A session looking at strategies to manage these two groups of individuals.

Team Diversity

Have you ever thought about the value you bring to the team, this session explores how personal characteristics can make the team.

Creating Objectives & Giving Feedback

The concluding sessions look at how to write effective objectives and provide effective and meaningful feedback.

D5 | Motivation and Coaching for Results

Pre-Work Activity

Coaching, Mentoring, Training & Counselling

An exploration into the differences between these development and management tools.

Day 1

Complete a leadership self assessment
(10 minutes).

Defining Coaching

A session underpinning the purpose the principles of effective coaching.

Day 2

Keep a time log for a morning or afternoon
(15 mins).

Skills and Process

We explore the skills needed and provide you with a road map for effective coaching.

Day 3

Complete two team surveys using the provided spreadsheet (15 mins).

Test Drive

An opportunity to test drive your new found skills within the coaching process.

Day 4

Read a short provided on-line article
(10 mins).

Institute of Leadership Accreditation

Institute of Leadership Accreditation (Optional Extra)

Everyone who completes will be provided with an Aspire Certificate, provided by the Institute of Leadership and Management. 

Attendance

You must attend all sessions.

Support from a Qualified and Experienced trainer

A trainer with over 40 years experience working in some of the biggest names across multiple sectors who is also active in the SME world.

Change Making

You will need to show that you have made a change in your leadership and and management practice.  Our unique pledge system will ensure that change happens.

Learning Materials

We provide all the learning materials required to complete the programme.  We promise no heavy, complicated manuals, just user friendly workbooks.  This also includes access to many tools including AI driven ones.

Active Participation

You must be an active participant on the programme

Continually Updated Materials

We are constantly updated our materials to ensure everyonegets the very latest thinking.

Pre-Work Completion

 All pre-work must  be completed prior to the training day.

Performance Pledges

Delegates will nominate one change per day that they will make to their practice and provide evidence that this has been completed.
